Unfuckingbelievable! My colleague and I found an AWESOME home for Dakota. The new owner to be is a great person, with a fenced in yard, and friendly 10 month old pit, etc.

The new owner to be goes to meet Jenna and Dakota, everything is going great, and she is ready to take her home then and there. Jenna then asks for $150.00...AFTER SHE SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME LAST NIGHT THAT SHE JUST WANTS A STRAIGHT ADOPTION AT THIS POINT!!!!!!

So let me get this straight, you're dumping your dog because you found a condo THAT YOU KNEW IN ADVANCE WOULD NOT ALLOW THIS DOG, and now you're trying to pull a couple hundred bucks out of her hide?!?!? Clearly these are specifically the type of people who should not own pets let alone bully breeds. I'm almost sorry I tried to find this pup a good home.

Matt, please adopt that dog and take care of her!!! I'd do it myself but a 115lb male American Bulldog, a 60lb female boxer/German Short-Haired Pointer mix, a cat, a wife, and 2 kids is already more than I can handle.

A modest rehoming fee of $100 - $200 is very common and serves to insure the dog goes to a good home (and not used for animal research, etc).

If you like the dog I wouldn't have any reservations about spending a few bucks.

True, but not when you are basically begging someone to take your dog because you are moving and wait until thelast fucking minute to do aomething about it.

I have no issue with rehoming fees for rescues, shelters, etc. My dog was $175 I think. Usually a reputable rescue has feed and cared for an animals, vetcare, etc. Which is also one of the reasons why there are fees.

I don't understand how asking for money from the person adopting the dog ensures anything... :dunno:

If a ghetto thug in an Escalade on 24s showed up wearing a shirt that said "Bad Newz Kennelz" showed up and pulled out a dope wad of 100s and flipped her some money... would that make him a potential better owner than a guy who showed up with two kids that want a dog to love and a dirty work truck, but didn't have $150 on him?

I understand why a kennel or shelter asks for money, because they have operating costs to cover to get homes for these animals. But a private party, asking for money, because they can no longer handle the resposibility that they took on...
