Wish I could take her, but one 70 lbs pitbull is enough for me. I might foster her however, if no one takes her.

My buddy Eric is now fostering the dog, PM me for contact info.

Dakota came over to my house this weekend. She did real well with my 4 year old pitbull. They ran around like crazy for two hours playing. Shes over weight, but a diet, big back yard, and some walks would fix that. Real good dog, house broken, very playfull. Barks when she needs to go out. Still has some puppy in her though. Shes full of energy

Her name is Dakota Avery (American Bulldog)
She will be two years old on May 22, 2010
She is fixed
She is 110 pounds
She is updated on all of her shots
The only thing she needs is her heart guard test in January

Same boat here. 50 some lb pit bull here and I don't believe he wants to share his house with more than the 4 cats we have

Hope someone can help out. Thats a big dog!

So what's the problem, she doesn't match the carpet in their new condo?

Let me know if Al's contact falls through and I'll put up a note on the ROAM (Royal Oak Animal Mission) site.

Might be interested.....do they know how well she is with other dogs? We've got a German Shepard that we're looking for a mate for.

ive got a 60lb pit and a 45lb pit thats gonna be more like an 80lb pit when he desides he is done growing... hes already gained almost 20 pounds in two months

thats a cute pup and the few ive been around have been excellent with little kids and other animals

Cool. Let us know how it works out.

Why would they wait 2 weeks before they are moving to try and find a home? People never seize to amaze me!

Oh well I'm sure you're fucking perfect. :bsjerk:

I hate when people get all hollier than thou and don't even know the situation. You think it's fair that a 110 lbs dog doesn't have a yard and is cooped up in a condo all day? I don't even know the situation but these people obv want what's best for the dog. So go piss into the wind.

Call the number. That's what it's there for.

Dibs. Ever since I saw Als dog, Ive been looking for a bulldog. can you have them contact me

Awesome dude. They're great dogs. Al's dog is a very good dog, I'm sure she will be the same with some work. Let me know if you need any help and how it goes.

Cool good luck.

I can't get her off my mind she's a nice looking Dog. We have A 6 month old Pit now. I would love to get him a playmate. But we don't have a fence. Well we have underground fence. It works good with him but I still worry about him leaving the yard. Another Dog means Double the worrying.

... I've been looking for a bulldog ...

That's a pitbull in the pic, not a bulldog.

I'm cooped up all day .. And I'm a lot more than 110 lbs.. What's your point?

All kidding aside, lighten up..

Okay, perhaps an American bulldog, but definitely not an English .. which is the image most people think of when they think bulldog.. I'm sure both are great pets though..

yes, im aware that american bulldogs look more like pits than english shorties.

Ever since I met Als dog at their halloween party, ive been looking for one. I spoke with Jenna briefly tonight, but we were both busy. Im going to her parents house tomorrow to meet the dog and talk with her about Dakota to make sure everything is on the up and up.

Justin, whered you find out about the dog anyway? friend? craigslist?

Its an AMERICAN bulldog. Not a pitbull, not an english bull dog.

And no I won't lighten up about it. These people deserve no ridicule just because the situation presents itself where they can no longer give the dog the life it deserves. My dog was in the same position, he now has a good home, thanks to a thread like this. So I'm not going to let you stink it up. People lose their jobs, they have to move for what ever reason. Shit happens. You're not going to take shots at them for doing the right thing. No way, no how. If you couldn't tell by now, it's one of the few things people can do to truly piss off on the internet.

that pic is of an english bulldog not an american bulldog

here is an american bulldog

Exactly.

Not perhaps... IT IS. Stop shitting in this thread. You don't know what you're talking about.

A friend of mine emailed me with the info and said I friend of his was looking for a good home for the dog.

I've never met the dog or the owners, but my buddy Eric who sent me the info is a good guy. If they're friends of his, I'm sure they're good people.

Keep me posted Matt.
