xbox online playing

Does anybody know about this? I have no clue about video games.
Curious if anything special is needed to play these online games and be able to interact with people via web connection.
If this even makes any sense.
I'm told you need some xbox card, like a gift card to make this happen...:icon_ques

I don't know a lot about it but i did have to get my son xbox live membership to play online.

You need Xbox live, watch ebay for cheap membership cards

Internet conection and xbox live gold . Usually 20-30bucks for 3 months . Sometimes you can get them cheaper . Look on ebay and amazon for deals
