WTB: Wrecked/Totaled 03-04 SVT Cobra "Terminator"

Those guys want $14k for a "donor car". Just for the hell of it, I asked how much to pull and ship the entire wiring harness out of the car would be, and they said $2500, because it's "Cobra specific".

They must be out of their fucking minds. That is why I HATE dealing with salvage yards. Greedy bastards... I can buy a CLEAN TITLE, undamaged Termi for $14k goddammit.

Damn!! I noticed it said call for pricing I didn't think it would be that crazy. I have ordered a few things from them and the prices were pretty fair so I figured the same would apply.

Terminators are over rated put a pushrod motor in it

They might be a bit overrated, but there are not many OEM pushrod motors making 700+ rwhp. The fact remains, the engine is stout regardless of anyone's opinion.

700rwhp making 11 sec pass, doesn't impress me. I had one and they are highly overrated, in cold weather they can be fun, driving on the street in 80+ weather = heat soaked slug

I have a push rod motor making less than 700 rwhp and I will walk any terminator making 700

You should race Modularsnake when his car is done.

I can do that

Well I'm glad you are happy with that purchase, I was very unsatisfied with my Terminator and the 3 other (4v) mod motor cars I've owned

You should restate that. The 4V motor is a nice motor out of the ford line. You werent impressed with that motor in the cars you've owned. Every notch ive seen with a 4V and blower or turbo has been pretty stout. Of course when you compare a notch with a turbo and a SBF vs a heavy 03-04 theres not much to compare.

lol the guys with 700hp going 11s are the jackasses who toss on a big blower and dont mod the chassis and suspension.

You missed the point, he is looking for the engine, which does live up to the hype. Like I said, not many pushrod motors many huge power in OEM form. ET is more chassis/suspension, and Terminators are not setup for that. They have roadrace suspension an IRS and a manual trans = bad ET for 95% of drivers. There are 500hp Terminators with OEM engines running high 9's, they just chose to spend money to make ET not HP.

Your car is irrelevant to the argument.

His car will be a turd.

I'll agree to disagree, but IMO 03/04 Cobras are a waste of money I've owned one, if your looking for a dyno queen to brag about your HP numbers buy one and cry when a mild bolt on LS1 car spanks you

i never had a mild bulid LS1 come around my 03, perhaps you needed a better tune or driving lessons.

Of course the Terminator nut huggers unite, well I have a "mild" bolt on LS1 car right now and owned it when I had my Terminator, from a roll and a dig the Cobra was spanked. And it was tuned by Paul's high performance and I'd be glad to show you my driving lessons anytime

Im a ford person and i will agree. Making an LS1 run as good or better then a teri isnt very hard.

I agree to a point, with mild bolt ons for both cars the LS1 car is gonna be better for drag racing untill the Cobra mods the chassis suspension. Once the cobra has a good setup suspension its gonna be hard for a LS1 car to keep up with out major HP (built motor ect.) mods, which then requires a LS1 car to upgrade the trans/ rear end as well.

Is the interior completely bare, or did you just get the seats out of it?

Matt still hasn't got back to me, but I believe his asking $5500-6500 for basically just the driveline and harness is out of line, regardless of if it's got a blower... that's totaled Terminator territory. And a smashed Termi will probably come with a complete interior if I find one at auction.

I tried going the cheap route when I was looking for a termi; looked for a damaged one but they always pulled too much money to make it worth fixing. I know you're looking to make a project but with the time and labor involved plus the cost of a parts car, I'm not so sure it would be worth it. Good luck.

I've already got a couple on deck... I'm just waiting on the sale of my bike to get both. Now I just need to figure out where I'm going to put them.
