Are you hunting somethng, If so What, and whats cheap? I ask because most people wont have any real caliber pellet guns just laying around :dunno:

I'm gonna get a higher powered one from Dunham's I think. CO2 and pump bb guns aren't cutting it.

pellet is the way to go from what ive read, 50yds through both sides of a soup can

This is a nice gun right here. It will def handle all of his rodent problems and from decent yardage as well. But if you have Racoons or Possums then he'd have to be much closer and deliver a head shot or use a .22 cal pellet gun and that will def take them out.

That's the gun I had until my dad kept it when I moved out. I paid $150 at the gun and knife show back in 2004. Might find some powerful ones at Swap meets.

I have the Gamo Big Cat 1200, which appears to be the same as the Varmint Hunter, minus the flashlight and laser sight. Plenty of power for small rodents and rabbits. My girl got it for me from Double Action for under $200. Great pellet gun for the money in my opinion.
