tossing around the idea of swapping my IRS to an SRA. looking for a fully built complete 8.8 same length as my factory rear.

id be willing to trade straight for a built 8.8 if it has less mods or i'd be willing to trade for a less modded one if the swapper did the labor on my car.
 
Post up on mach1registry.com lots of guys there like the IRS for whatever reason. Also your best bet is to buy an 8.8 and all the stuff you need and then just sell the complete IRS once you have all your Solid swap parts.
 
alright ill check that site out. i'd like to buy it all but dont have any money so i was hoping to get a trade but we'll see what happens. how much did u get back from ur IRS?
 
bumping this thread. IRS will be out of the car sometime next week so i will consider an outright sale. Still wanting to trade for a brake to brake Mustang SRA really would like it to be modded.
 
i have a complete rearend & suspension out of a 2002 GT.

Rear axle was checked for straightness and had a 3.73 gear installed with a DTS aluminum cover/girdle
upper UPR adjustable chromoly control arms
lower UPR adjustable chromoly control arms
FRPP aluminum driveshaft

Is it completely stock? Would you do it straight up?
I've got an sra outta my 94. Never been to the track with it, 3.73's, mph megabite jr's double adjustable uppers and non adjustable lowers. New oem bushings on the housing for the uppers as of last year and polyurethane buhings on the lowers. 95k miles

95 with 3.73s rebuilt fresh with stock parts about 14k ago or so. sealed disc to disc but no control arms..... I may have some stock ones floating around.

yea i know i'd sell it for 1,000 OBO.

i wouldnt mind getting a slightly shorter axle tho. since i have my custom wheel's it will give me more wiggle room for spacer's to make the 19's sit right. Since the wheels were made with backspacing for an IRS
