WTB: CLEAN 99-02 6-speed LSx F-body, 04-06 GTO, or 04-07 CTS-V

WTB: CLEAN 6-speed 99-02 LSx F-body or 04-06 GTO

Looking for a low-ish mileage version of anything in the title. Must be 6-speed, must be in mechanically and cosmetically excellent condition, absolutely no rust. Will consider any color other than red or white. Stock or near stock and low miles (75k or less) are preferred but will consider higher mileage for the right car. Mainly looking for the F-body but will also consider the GTO depending on the condition and price.

My buddy has an 04 GTO. Impulse blue. Around 3k miles. Always stored inside. Car is perfect.

While that sounds awesome, it sounds like it's out of my price range. :lol: Any idea what he's looking to get for it? Manual trans, yes?

Yes, manual trans. He has some tasteful upgrades, rear view mirror with temp display, turn signal lights in fenders like the Holden's using factory harness from Australia , rear end cover to help with the wheel hop ( not installed), tinted windows.

Car is perfect, he is very anal.
 
Cause I have a free turbo kit for a 4th-gen or a GTO. ;) My next project will be turbo'd stock-ish LS1, your car has inspired me with the whole fast, semi-quiet, stock-mannered car you can drive everywhere thing. :) The CTS-V idea has been pretty much thrown out the window because I'd have to use it as a true daily driver to be able to afford it if I want one without a ton of miles on it. Plus I just drove one and it's not fast enough stock and I have no free turbo kit option for it. haha.

Besides, C5's in my price range tend to be high mileage and somewhat ragged out, and I haven't seen a C6 that I can afford.

Sounds awesome! But again, what's he looking to get for it? If the price doesn't begin with a 1 then I can say with certainty I can't afford it. :)
 
If you should change your mind about the 6 Speed (not sure I would LOL) I have a 2006 GTO with ~2XXX miles on it that was the last one that was to be sold to the public (the other one ended up in the GM heritage fleet and was then sold LOL)
 
Damn, sounds awesome if it wasn't an auto lol. Out of curiosity, what would something like that sell for. I already know I can't afford it, but I'm curious. :)
 
Well its not nearly old enough for what it is to have any value from its situation perse so probably about $21K or so LOL
 
For what it's worth. I sold my Barbados GTO last fall for 13k, 69k miles with mods, and my buddy just sold his spice red M6 for 15k (bone stock & 50k).

My old manis looking to sell his c5, but it's an auto. Price would be sub 20k, around 40k on it.

What years were the goats? I'm jealous, for an 05-06 for either of those everyone's asking $17500. If yours was an 04 that sounds about right for one of the cleaner examples.

Yeah, too bad your dad's is an auto, that would be tempting if it was a 6 speed!
 
First one is too expensive, second one I had someone look at for me and it's ok but needs a lot of TLC and is ultimately deviating too much from my plan because I decided I need A/C. Thanks though. :)
 
I suppose I'd probably sell mine for the right price, 02, 6 speed, 41k miles. It's stock and clean, so I really don't have the heart to mod it how I'd like

Barbados = 2004 only color, the rarest color combo. Mine was 1 of 271. It was a beautiful car, just couldn't justify keeping it, not driving it, and having a baby in the house.

Spice Red = 2006 only color.

Checkout ls1gto.com the moderators have all turned to dicks, but there's a lot of good info there. I know those cars like the back of my hand after owning one and being around them for nearly 10 years.

There was a cammed spice red in Sterling Heights for sale recently (advertised on ls1gto), not sure if it sold yet.
