Thank you I'm yet to go back to work because of the shoulder injury but it was most definitely a blessing I walked away

Wow that sucks. I saw the pics on Facebook didnt think it was that bad. Id deff want it totalled if they were swapping the frame. Glad to see you are okay Cupcake.

Glad your okay, I had a heart stopping moment on my way home from work just an hour ago. Some lady in a minivan with a few little kids didnt see me coming down the road at 50mph, I stepped on the brake pedal harder than I have ever done in my life and what likely saved her and her kids was I pushed the Horn and she saw me and stopped just short enough for me to swerved around the front of her van and miss her. What kills me is I ended up sideways and half off the road as a result of her pulling out in front of me, she glanced at me and then took off. I drove after her and she finally stopped, and told me she was so sorry she never saw me. I was so about to blow up but I saw all the kids and just told her she needed to slow down and pay attention before someone gets hurt or killed. I dont know how you dont see a giant F250 with head lights on coming down the road...

My buddy was at a standstill on the freeway and someone who was doing freeway speeds rear ended him. New fullsize Chevy 4wd. They replaced the frame on his too.

lucky you were in a truck ... crazy on the repair thats a first for me to replace the frame... but look at it this way

I would rather have the frame from a (stolen and recovered) that was straight the a frame that was bent back into place on a bench

or have them weld a patch in

make sure you go after your insurance for diminished value. [h=1]What is Diminished Value?[/h]If your vehicle has been damaged in an accident, it has likely lost resale value, even after
completely repaired. This is because most potential buyers will pay less for a vehicle once they find out it's been in an accident

I'm going to try to get a lawyer on the phone today to see exactly what I am entitled to. As far as the frame I agree that replaceing it is far better the straightening.

People get so scared about frame swaps... At least on some of the full size truck frames it's the only way to repair them as specs from the manufacturer state to not heat them up past a certain temp. because it will cause the metal to become brittle and severely weaken it.

We swapped quite a few frames on full size pickups because of it and never had a single issue.

Frame replacement's are that big of a deal. It does make a HUGE difference in trade value though. With the days of Car Fax and stuff it makes a big difference.
