Wrecked Challengers locally?

My driveshaft took out the fuel tank heat shield and of course Mopar says I need to buy an entire fuel tank to get that heat shield even though it's just held on with four bolts and probably gets destroyed anytime a driveshaft lets go.

Trying to find something used so I can avoid the whole warranty fiasco. Should be common with any dual exhaust Challenger from 2009+. Trying to find any local parts picking places to see if I can score one.

Charger might even be the same? .....i know a hellcat guy got his car warantied for driveshaft, which that doesnt seem 100% right either

Why not take it in for warranty to get a new heat shield and driveshaft and just sell off the brand new driveshaft to offset the cost of the upgrade?

car-part.com then search fuel tank, if its attached to the tank it should come with it and most of the time they let tanks go cheap.

It's a hassle (although the alternative seems to be a big hassle as well) and I just don't trust strangers. I used to deal with some of the dealer issues at MOPAR and since I saw the worst of the worst, I am probably overly paranoid but it is what it is. Just think it's silly that they don't sell the heat shield that will 100% get damaged when the weak driveshaft bites the dust. lol

Haha that's the only site that I knew of but it appears to be pretty good. I'm going to a local place to see if they have one. They seemed to think they did. They wanted $100 for just the shield which is crazy since MOPAR only charges $50 for a brand new of a similar design/size/etc shield but it's worth it at this point.

Who was that lady doing the Facebook reports about the cars like Josh's . She was at a few junk yards that had them . I thought I had one but it's a single exhaust shield

My experience with mopar/jeep service so far is HORRENDOUS. It's pathetic. Inept, full on retarded.

I'm looking for a number to call Chrysler corp and complain. 1000 miles on my jeep and it's been in 3x for the SAME EXACT problem. I even printed out the jeep repair manual, ordered the REQUIRED parts, left them on the passenger seat, instructed the service writer.

Didn't touch what I left and SURE AS FUCK DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM!!!
I have more miles on enterprise loaner vehicles in the month I've "owned" my jeep than the jeep has on it!!

I can put you in touch with the right person. Send me PM with the specific dealer and I'll get you the zone rep.

I can come pick the jeep up, then bring it back next week and drop it off they tell me!! Ordered a part.

What the fuckin fuck?

Anthony which dealer are you using? I have found the FCA dealers are all over the place with how they deal with service.
