Would you sell someone a classic car knowing that they were going to hack it up?

OHHH HI DAN! :)

OK I take back my previous staetment :0 I was just was over there and it was the top post on both sites.....looked fishy! :)

I vouch for the owner!

I know, fishy indeed. :)

You should recognize the neighborhood [or not, it has been a few years]

I think I may have been next to you in traffic the other night, I was in my new Pontiac.

Dan, tell your dad I'll give him $10K for it. I always wanted to Pro-Street one. I might even put in a BBC. Maybe cut a hole in the hood for a blower and a mailbox scoope. Of course I'd rip out the stock interior and put aluminum panels in it to give it a race car look. Tubs and a rear clip. Can't wait! Ask him when we can get together...

I hope Hurricane Bill takes you away.

I hope Hurricane Bill takes you away.

Unfortunately, I think Bill will end up 300 miles east of here. I've been here since 2006 and not one damn hurricane (other than that little bitch Faye last year that was really only a thunderstorm).

So did you ask your dad when I can pick up the car?

Kind of reminds me when i sold my 87 Iroc to a 16 year old kid. I went through all of the motions making the car right. It had a custom pearl paintjob on it that looked like a million bucks. Well the kid said he had an Omni to drive to school. I said good because if something happens to this paint it'll be a bitch to match it and make it look right again.

Well he took it to school and some jealous kid keyed the whole side of it. Made me want to cry :(

That was a nice Iroc. :(

unless it's a rare/high end car, i'll put 'em under the knife any time. they're jusr cars, they build 'em and crush'em every day. i'd never build a car wondering what a future buyer might object to.

sorry swif', cars are metal and plastic. of course that just my $.02.....

I don't think I would sell it knowing what was going to happen to it. Now, if it was in pieces, a clean project car that was on a back burner, I'd probably sell it in a heartbeat.

I guess knowing what's going to happen to it, is sometimes a curse to weigh on the sellers mind.
