Typical 3800 Series 2, if that lube techknew his stuff he'd have known to pop the engine cover off and check for a leak at the FPR.

what does a leaky FPR have to do with getting an oil change?

They always leaked, in fact GM recalled them. When I started as a lube tech I would always check common issues to try to up sell them. Granted that looks like just an oil change shop and not full on repair, but still I'd check to let the customer know.

Video comment - "This problem wasnt caused by an oil change, it was a recall by chevrolet for a leaky fuel pressure regulator. Theres a certain set of circumstances that cause this to happen. Its a leaky FPR, low charge on the battery and a small backfire because of this that ignites the fuel in the intake. My friend had this happen only his car was cold and didnt catch fire, just a quick fireball and blew the intake to pieces, but this is more common than you think. The problem here was a hot engine when it blew."
