Worst experience ever - Ford dealership

Stalker

I removed my teeth on purpose....if you catch my d
Granted I would have dealt with Matt if I could, but he's up there, I'm down here, it just wouldn't work.

2 months ago I go into the local Ford dealership and put a down payment of 2,000 on 2012 F150. I end up deciding I don't want the truck and cancel the deal. I am told that my 2,000 would be in my bank again in 3 to 5 business days. That happened on a Monday. That Friday I look and the money isn't there. I call in and am told that the guy who would normally process the return is on vacation and he'll take care of it next week. Normally I look my monthly statements over and confirm everything is good to go, but I was very busy and missed that month and never noticed the money wasn't back.

Fast forward to Monday of this week. I sit down and go through my accounts for the last 2 months and notice that the money was never returned. I call the dealership a little miffed only to be told that they have been waiting for me to call. Mind you since the original down payment was made, I've been walking around the dealership quite regularly speaking with my sales guy and taking my time shopping. Apparently the finance guy told someone whose fingers were all broken and mouth stapled shut that they needed me to call with my card number to reverse the charge and get me my money back. Why not one of the 4 people with the title of 'manager' who called me regularly was ever told this information is beyond me. I'm miffed, but they assumre me that they will get it back on my account in 3 to 5 business day. This morning I log into my bank and notice my account has shrunk and I'm not sure why. First thought is that ID theft happened. Then I look and the damn dealership took another 2,000 instead of giving me back 2,000.

I called fuming mad and was told they will get this money in my account as soon as possible which translates to 3 to 5 more business days.

I really wish there was something I could do to them to compensate me for the fact that they are holding $4,000 of my money and I should have had it all back 2 months ago.

You are in GA walk up in that bitch open carry and tell them kindly you would like to see the dealership owner.

Take off your shirt, put some coveralls on with some old boots, walk in there with your toothless grin and start shouting about it while you spit as you talk. You'll leave with a check. Might carry a shotgun too. Tell them that "maw" needs them dollars back so she can whip up a batch of shine.

Want action? Take action!

I would show up in person and DEMAND they cut a check on the spot.

^^^^^ the above is step one........while you're waiting......

Step two is engage & start talking to customers in the showroom
& telling them all about what is going on with you & the dealership.

If you do this correctly, you won't be waiting very long & they'll
have a check in your hands & you on your merry little way...FAST!

Ask me how I know this.

What if you had bills bounce because of that shit? I mean not that it's happening but it could, and the dealership should be in some deep shit for that. I'd call a lawyer if they're not making it right THAT day.

I had bills bounce because of a dealership mistake. I called the dealer, they said come on down and we will fix it. I showed them how much they took, and the bounce fees. They wrote me a check right then, cashed it 10 minutes later. Because this happened in the afternoon, another item hit my account that night and charged another $35. I told the dealer, they issued me a check the next day to cover it. Was a pretty good outcome overall, but yeah it sucks if you get no response.

Ask to talk to the owner / general manager. But yes go there in person. Make sure you are LOUD and talk around other customers, this will get them to try to shut you down quick. They might try to take you into a quieter room or office, but don't do it. Demand your money back. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I initially backed out on my truck. I used my card for the down payment and when i backed out they wrote me a check on the spot.

Then you get screwed at the dealership.
Truth is when I did my lease from Matt that was the first time I ever didn't have an issue at a Ford dealership
