I know I know, it's an import ricer piece of shit. Get over that part. I know most still won't care, but pretty impressive if you ask me.

The World's Fastest EVO 221 MPH in-car video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l15l3nTLmhE

This video is of Mike Reichen's EVO at 220.513 MPH in the standing mile. The following pass was at 221.422! This was at The Maxton Mile on 9-28-08 in Maxton, NC. He set 3 new class records for F,G, and AA which is usually for cars with over 540 cubic inch motors. The really cool thing is there's a bit left in Mike's white monster.

'94 Evo 2. He's running a 2.0L stock crank, stock block, Arias Pistons, block built by Class One Engines, Head Dynamics ported 1g head, Shearer Fabrications custom divided T4 header, Dual Tial Wastegates, and a Borg Warner S400 74mm.

200+mph in a standing mile?!?!?

That vid reminds me of my GXP on highway on ramps. Wait...no it doesn't.

I've been to 140 in the SRT before and that was more than enough. I couldn't even imagine another 80MPH.

134mph today on 696 from the Groesbeck/696 on ramp to the Gratiot off-ramp. I had to make a quick run to Costco for dog food and toilet paper.

Just kidding...none of that actually happened. :D I did the posted 70mph the whole way.

let me guess.... you only went out for dog food, but needed the toilet paper once you got there.

That's a tall order for an engine that small! Once you get up there the resistance takes an enormous amount of power to shove something through the air like that. Any additional pics of the car?

When we went up to the runway last year my buddies GT did 218 in the standing mile on 93 octane and ran out of space at 231.5 mph. We'll be back in a couple weeks...with another 500rwhp. It did 223 at the Texas Mile on race gas, which was probably 350 rwhp short of what it is now. 230 sure would be nice.

Any additional pics of the car?

The car made 1044AWHP.

so im not biomedical engineer but that would been that this thing went 55.25 mph in the 1/4,

theory, 4, 1/4s in ia mile, 4 divided by 221mph lol

just playing thats a hell of a feat for a 4 cyl that thign sounds like a pissed off weedwacker i would love to take that on 696

Haha, he actually does the quarter mile in 8.96 @ 158. That's the current record for a "street" Evo. The fastest quarter mile for an Evo is 172mph and the quickest is 8.42s.

took my bone stock vet to 173 on the e-way before... it had more in it but i wussed out..

now that i have alot more power then stock im sure it would get there much faster but it was very dangerous and risky (cop wise) so i dont see me trying again..

:baddancin at your theory.. that thing must be making some CRAZY power to go from 165.75 (3/4) to 221 (1/1 mile) in only 1/4 mile

with my new redline & gearing I can break 200mph in the STi. Wonder if the power will be enough to beat physics to the punch......

Nick

ive been a 150 in a 71 firechicken down 696 from mound curve to gratoit, i dont mind going fast from a dig to a 1/4 but going like 4 miles scared the shit out of me, and i wasnt driving so even more scared
