Live on 8 mile and work on 8 mile.... So it isn't bad at all... 8 mile hooker for life here....

How many lanes will be added? I haven't traveled M59 in some time. I avoid it at any cost. Seems like it has been rush hour on that portion of M59 24/7 for the last 15 years.

God dammit! That is my exact route.... Groesbeck to Cass/Romeo Plank to Hall and get on M53 headed North.... guess Ill be taking a different route for a while

It will remain 4 lanes between M-53 and Garfield and 1 lane will be added between Garfield and Romeo Plank (for a total of 4 lanes).

Any word when that's supposed to happen? I used to avoid hall Rd going to work but with 16 mile under construction it hasnt been worth avoiding it
 
26 miles for me, 45 minutes going in or coming home. Westland to Rochester Hills, so Telegraph most of the way.

Please please keep us posted on this Hall Rd project. Affects so many here. (Including me as I am just north of 21 and Heydenreich)

The project is currently split into two segments. Segment one is from M-53 to Hayes and is scheduled for 2017 construction. Segment two is from Hayes to Romeo Plank and is not currently funded so I am unsure of the schedule.

I'm happy to share whatever info I know.

Currently we are still working with MDOT to decide what the best maintenance of traffic scheme would be. That will obviously be the biggest impact to all users.

Thanks, did I miss what they are doing from M53 to Hayes? I live at Hall at Hayes
