So im sitting here killling time on the computer, when the building starts shaking, i cant hear shit cause i have my head phones on at first i thought another rocket or mortar hit, but its going on for a while, i take my headphones off and its 2 chinooks on the lz with my replacements woot woot so i can get the fuck out of here. the first of us start leaving in less than week, and were 14 to an 8 man tent now, we are crammed, but i could care less its means im going the fuck home woot woot.

I have 379 days deployed to Iraq and im going back soon for another 4 month trip but heres one of my pride and joys that kicks some ass over there

it will probably be a chinook i'll be riding back on, maybe a blackhawk, and at worst driving back during the night. i like the chinook, because 1 its insanely fast, it cruises at what everything else tops out at on a good day, and 2 it can take a hit from an rpg and still be flying, if even a bullet dings a blackhawk it seems like its going down, im always more nervous flying in a blackhawk than driving down a road i know is invested with ieds. home is ortonville, but i have a few years left in the army, which means at least 1 more time here, maybe 2 if im stop lossed and 3 if i get called back on inactive ready reserves

ours are real fast and the shithook is still the fastest but it cant manuver our has a pave package and can fly real low real fast and get the hell out of the way and has the armor to take a beating and the guns to make someone that does shoot at us a wish that they didnt. We usually dont fly log runs which is troops back and forth but we do every once in awhile we do alot more infel exfel and catch the bad guys and Csar
 
we use the blackhawks for air infil and exfil, although with as much shit as we carry its damn impossible to get out the thing fast enough if its a hot lz, would be much faster getting out of a chinook, it would just be as fast and you would be ready, to be moving, not rolling out of the bird with everyones shit everywhere. the chinook has a gunner at the back door, and the blackhawks have 2 door gunners, and we always have 2 apaches for an escort, and well ya they carry enough shit to fuck up damn near anything, we've only had one firefight where they went black on ammo, there would have been enough but one of them got shot up pretty bad and had to return to base early and by itself, while the second stayed on with us. the chinook can fly damn low, its only as good as the pilot is, and well 101avn pilots are probably the best in the world next to 160 soar pilots.

thanks, i'll be home home by the begining of october, but im shopping for a new ride, im about given up on rotarys their too much of a pain in the ass, i want something with more than 80ci, seriously.
