After their blitzkrieg invasion I left my car there and hopped in with a friend even though i wasn't driving home either way. I wouldn't have put it past them to force someone to drive then pull them over immediately.

Cops made us clear out of our seating area but told us if we blocked our parking lot we could stay.... Depends were the lot is located to say what's private property and what isn't. Jim blocked it with his Vette and we partied till I think 12? Bunch of racing went on..... Mustang and a Trans Am kept circling In Front of us about a half dozen times just balls out... Mustang lost all 6 times :lol:
Yea but this year did suck with waaaaay to many new Camaros/Mustangs/Challengers/Vetts cruising the right 2 lanes.
Anyone see a video of Ferrari doing a hole shot and lost it into people seating by the curb? Talk about swarming cops! Guy tried taking off and made it a block before 20 officers surrounded him.

I'm sure you've all heard by now... Papa John's 1970 (71?) Camaro was stolen after the cruise. Sounds like he went down to Detroit afterwards and somebody stole his truck and trailer with the car inside. This is the same car that he sold 30 years ago to help his father's business and start PJ's and finally found it again about 3-4 years ago and bought it back.

HUGE thanks to Nick for organizing the parking lot again, getting all of the food & supplies and then cooking lunch & dinner for everyone. A bunch of us tried getting him off of the grill to take a break but he wouldn't let us. I also didn't realize that they had packed up all of the stuff at the end of the night. I turned around to go help them and that back corner was EMPTY! I really hope you & Sarah were still able to enjoy yourselves dude!
It was great to see everyone again and meet some new faces this year. And thanks for the help keeping the lot patrolled as we did have a lot of people trying to park there in the morning (and even after we had our Motown Muscle signs up).
I was there at the end of the night and as we were planning to leave the cops showed up and I saw part of what occurred as I was attempting to leave. I had to ask the one cop to move his vehicle from the driveway entrance so we could pull out of the lot. He turned it around and then shined the spotlights on the lot blinding us as we were pulling out. I was hoping nothing was going to happen to anyone still at the lot. Glad everyone was able to leave. That did seem like some BS. Maybe next time we need to back the cars away from the front row and stay near the back corner to not draw any attention to us. I'm sure the row of cars at the front and all the people/chairs caught their attention.

I was shocked to drive up Woodward yesterday and see like "0" cars. I thought for sure it would be packed.
On the flip side I was able to pull up to Vinsetta Garage and have lunch with my Daughter..... no waiting, got seated & served immediately.
Headed down to Belle Isle.... place was packed... and I must say the island is looking nicer every time I visit.

I had planned on eating at the Motown lot and I had access to the Roush event as well.... we met with my in-laws and ended up eating at Vinsettas saturday at 1 in the afternoon and got seated fast. I was surprised. Pretty damn good food

It is always a ghost town the Sunday after the cruise, and any weekend after the cruise for the rest of summer on Friday and Saturday night for the most part.
We did the same Sunday, did some shirt shopping, hit Vinsetta and sat right down. That was awesome, need to go there for early-ish Sunday lunch more often apparently.
