wireless gaming headset

anybody recommend any wireless gaming headset? i know turtle beach makes some but im looking for a cheaper set that just works. im not looking for anything high end. i just want to be able to listen to my xbox at night when my daughter is sleeping and im on the couch. hopefully something $50 or less would be nice.
 
just buy a wired set.. i picked up a used set of turtle beach x11's for 40 bucks.. they work awesome..
 
I got the earforce deltas call of duty headset for x-mas. They are awesome but eats batteries. You are better off just getting a wired pair some of my friends have them and the cord is plenty long.
 
hard to do wired with a toddler. hard to believe that the turtle ones are basically the only option out there and no one in china makes another set?
 
Pretty sure the production of aftermarket equipment is regulated by Microsoft. that's why you can't buy an aftermarket wireless controller, only wired ones.

yeah but isnt it just basically a regular wireless headset with a second input? didnt think there was anything special with the headset itself.
 
It still has to be able to talk to the xbox. The only way around it would be to get a receiver that has the ability to wirelessly hook up. Though you'd lose your ability to talk via xbox live parties if you do (You didn't have live gold before, and not sure if you do now).

oh well i guess ill just try to get a used turtle beach one on ebay. im just really surprised with all the hackers and xbox modders out there that no one has an alternative to this one company that monopolizes the market.

yeah i have xbox live now. hourang02 is my username. currently playing the crap out of Skyrim.
