changed Alternator....lets hope this solves my charging problem. The charge wire from the solenoid to the alt I thought was the fix....but it didn't change anything so now on to the the next thing to replace.
Thanks to Allthrottle for giving me a good deal on this!
I changed the coupler for the air filter pipe....the old one looked too big and bulky. Which do you guys like better? Old or New?
Also - If anyone tells you that you can't use a paper filter on E85....tell them they are wrong. This is a 10 Micron Purolator filter that is one year old.
The one that doesnt look like a boat bellows!! Lol. As for the fuel filter I really like how easy my screen filters are, I just take them apart and clean them 2-3 a year.
took the car out for a spin this past weekend. I started off with 8-9 PSI and all is well. THe video is 10PSI.....but for some reason the boost controller won't make anymore than 10. I have to diagnose the issue.....its either electronic or mechanical. I am going to run the test on the MSBC1 first.....then take both gates off and make sure ones not stuck open.
I also plan to test this weekend at a local track to get ready for the race on the 16th.
Car ran good at SCS4....but I left Ubly scratching my head....it was no quicker/faster. The new plate hits hard....I haven't went bigger than the .062 jet (150HP)
The plate makes the car spin now....and I think my three year old slicks are about done at this power level.
So why no improvement with what was suppose to be a better turbo......based on data logs, the shift points and crossing RPM are all up and the fuel consumption/injector duty cycle are also up...which tells me the car is making more power....but I guess its now too much for the converter.
