Winter Project

Nothing too special yet. Just a plain old 03 Cobra Convertible. I've been enjoying it all summer with some very mild bolt ons. Just a 2.8 pulley, intake, catback, and a shitty Diablo tune for now. Here's a few pics I have. I'm still undecided whether I should go turbo, or if the Kenne Belle Big Bore 2.8L Blower. I already plan on replacing rear suspension and drivetrain.

I found the decal up north on a fishing trip near Frankfort and Crystal Lake.

I also got rid of the annoying mustang in the grill

Nothing like some skinnies on a stock looking wheel.

What size tires are those on the front? Who narrowed the wheels? How much?

BTW that's the coolest mod. I love factory fronts turned into skinnies!

Nice ride. I'd take the sticker off the gas door, and put the spoiler back on, but I am diggin those wheels!

I don't think he can put the spoiler back on. See how the 3rd tail light is built into the trunk. Unless he swapped trunks that's a spoiler delete car. Way more rare and much better looking IMO.

Not true. The Cobra decklid is identical to the V6/GT/Mach. When you take off the Cobra spoiler there is the cutout/recession to where the V6/GT/Mach brake light would go.

There are a couple more 03's in this thread with spoiler delete's........although not from the factory ;)

Very interesting. I did not know that. Makes sense from a manufacturing stand point. Thanks for the info. I Have a GTS so I'm partial to the no spoiler look.

Weldcraft did the wheels, I have to check the tire sizes again. I got the wheels off of another former 03 Cobra owner. He just picked up an 86 Ranger with a nicely done 302. I love the no spoiler look on a convertible because it goes more with the body lines, albeit, the previous owner did it before me. Why do you suggest going with a Whipple over the Kenne Bell? Last I knew they were pretty much the same company.

So this is the car you bought instead of buying the one from me? Would have been nice to know you were no longer interested 4 months ago. "Dude, I got cash waiting". Fuck off.

did weld craft do the front wheels(they look bad ass)??? put a kb or a big whipple on the car if you plan on leaving the stick in it! if you have a 4r70 and a turbo=untouchable: my thoughts
