Winged Sprint Cars

Yesterday I had the pleasure of watching these beasts run at a local track. I was not prepared for how fast they were, man was it cool. Unfortunately the main event was rained out. Amazing, the first time in MONTHS we get rain, and there's a cool motorsports event going on. Go figure.

Badass never been to a 2 a WoO event, but i go see the 360 all stars evertime they come to mich

Ive been around sprints my whole life.. Dad's friends with 2 guys who are retired drivers and now one of their son in laws drives.. plus many other friends run. http://www.mtsprints.com/ this is the group they run.. non wing show but in my opinion Non wing guys have the bigger balls ! they run all over michigan..

Something about coming off the corner full sideways foot on the floor RF hanging in the air.. kinda makes my dick hard :smash:

That is awesome!
These are the cars I get to work on at school. The Firebird ran a 10.36 @129MPH it's second time out. A cam swap and torque converter change have been ordered. The modified is about 3 weeks from getting dirty.

When they put Dirt on Bristol, which also reduced the banking, the Outlaws were still faster than a Cup car. Not surprising, despite the dirt, they weigh less than half as much and have the same HP. They definitely haul ass around those little tracks.

No kidding, what's their major? I've seen one other car on campus with Michigan plates.

I heard about Bristol, sadly I missed it. I bet that was awesome to watch as well as drive.
 
They have non-winged sprints running in Lansing the Friday you are going to be here. It is about an hour west of the WDC. If you want to take a few hours from the WDC, the wife and I and whomever else wants to ride with me, will be happy to take you to the track. I'll even pay your way in...

It is the season championship for the sprints, so it'll be a good race. Spartan is a small 1/4 mile track and they are the 410 sprints and really fast...

He is in the autobody program, He had a bagged with reg cab s10 just sold it a few days ago tho
 
Its been awhile since i been to spartan, didnt it use to be called something else?
When i goto jackson to visit my parents we usually go to butler, its 3/8 high bank track,
always a good time.
bristol would of been awesome to see. We been talkin about, makin a trip to eldora

I'm pretty sure I've seen that truck. I'm in what's called the High Performance program. Typically I'm on the other side of campus unless I'm helping out with some of the regular automotive classes.
 
I never watched a sprint car race til I came to Texas, and holy fuck are those things awesome.

My buddy here is a driver of a very successful team. Unbelievable the amount of money that goes into these things.
