Windows XP Help

My home computer got blasted by some damn virus (through Mcafee). It wont even turn on in safe mode. It also wont boot from the Windows XP CD.

I get a blue screen that says, "STOP: C000021a (fatal system error)...."

I have an external case for a hard drive so my plan is to pull the music and picture files off of the hard drive and then reformat it.

My question is, is there an easy way to pull the drivers of of the hard drive? Maybe one folder that contains them? I doubt it, but it is worth asking.

Sound card, video card, printer, monitor, etc...

All those drivers should be easily available online. They should be located in C:\Windows\System and ~system32. I would advise against copying them though since those are both commonly targeted folders for malware.

Yeah.....I was hoping for a shortcut.....I guess it is time to reformat.

if you know what type of sound card, etc its quick to just d/l them from the manufactures website.
