Got Windows Vista Ulitimate (EXTREME!!!) on my computer and lemme tell you...it's sexy. There are a lot of really sweet features (some I'm still discovering) and the "glass" windows are awesome. If you have enough computer...I recommend it.

It's still in Beta/RC1 stages right now, i'll wait for a good release, the ones that I've been messing with are 'ok' at best, but i do have to admit, it looks nice.

Is it true that you have to click past thousands of warnings just to delete a shortcut?

Pretty much... I ran the RC1 update for a few weeks. This saturday I had a minor issue, My BFG6800GT video card died :( and all I had lying around was an Old ATI All In Wonder 7500 Radeon ;(

hmm.. maybe i'll snag a copy and put it on a 2nd partition to play with it

you can't do that, vista HAS to be the main partition, so you'll need another drive and swap it or wipe your current one.

there is an update advisor for vista that you can run on your computer to see if it'll work. you can score it from microsoft.com. i'm not sure what the requirements are. I have RC1 and it runs very well.

As far as the warnings to delete shortcuts, I haven't experienced anything like that. It doesn't even ask me if I'm sure. Just gone.
