Windows Tablets?

I'm looking for a tablet to use primarily for school. Mainly for taking notes, lab reports, etc. I'd also like one with stylus support and palm exclusion. Right now I'm looking at something like the Surface 2 or Dell Venue 11 Pro. Open to other suggestions or reviews.

The Surface Pro tablets are very nice, they're essentially a laptop in a tablet form factor.

I agree. The hardware is awesome and it's a great device all around. The pro 3 took up a notch with the bigger screen. The biggest downfall of the Pro 2 and 1 was screen size.

I bought a surface pro and it bricked within 2 hours of turning on. I guess its a common problem. I wasn't impressed.

Sorry. I thought I put in the original post that I'd like to stay around $400. The Surface Pro is nice, but more than I want to spend. I'm leaning toward the Venue because of price and features.
