Window tint question.

i say just get 20 all the way around

u get pulled u get pulled then u just gotta take off the tint u dont gotta pay

can you "stack" tints ?? i got a huge F-ing roll of 50% at work for free ( found it sitting in the attic and boss let me have it) i was thinking of putting tinting my front windows with it. But if its not enough to notice a light redction can i stack two layers of 50 or will it end up like shit ?

Not true several cities, like farmington hills have made it a points violation, even if you pull the tint,

it just depends on how the cop wants to write it. i've had probably 2 dozen window tint tickets in my driving career. sometimes the cop just gives you a fix it ticket so you just pull it and have it signed, sometimes they can be a prick and give you an Obstructed Vision, 2 point ticket...i've had both numerous times.

and yes you can "stack" up tint. it's just you want to make sure the lines are cut exactly the same or else around the edge you'll see the 2 different layers where they overlap at some spots and not at others

Pferd's r tint,but I don't know if he've ever got pulled or not.

Speaking to that, I went a whole year without problems, then got pulled over twice within a couple weeks of the Dream Cruise on Woodward. The State Trooper gave me a ticket even though I had the doctor's note:pissed:

I have 5 in the back, 20 on the side. One downside, you need to really check behind you for pedestrians when backing out of a spot at night......or roll down the windows.

Fuck the law!!! I have had every vehicle I have ever owned tinted with at least limo all around and no less than 35% on the windshield!

By the way, if you need a tint guy, PM me and I will give you my guy's number.

Alot of police departments will not accept the note anymore, it has to be on your license, but then you cannot drive a car without tint

Oh...and I have an RX for my tint. But I never went to SOS and had the endorsement/restriction put on my license.

I second Sun Shade in troy there (just east of Crooks on 15 mile). They have done all of my cars. And you can ask for the 'assurance' policy. It costs a little extra. But with that if you get pulled over they will remove the side window tint for your court date, and re-apply it after. I only had to use it once when a state trooper pulled me over for my tint. I had 35% all around and after the ticket had 50% put back on the fronts. Local cops have never given me a problem for the tint. But if you ever get pulled over, roll down both windows first so they can't bug you about it. Ann Arbor cop asked me about it once but never wrote it up on my ticket. Whew.
