. If your brain didn’t see square A as darker than square B, you would never be able to make sense of the real world.
That explains alot

Optical illusion. He's right, you're wrong. They are the EXACT same color.

Do you have Photoshop? If so, open that picture up in it, grab the eyedropper tool, and watch the color very carefeully when you choose either color. The color will NOT change one bit.

I dont have to, I can tell by looking at it that its not the same color.
Obviously you cannot. You're not taking into account the fact that the one you *think* is lighter is surrounded by dark blocks and NOT in the cylinder's shadow. The exact opposite can be said for the one you *think* is darked. I hate to argue with you on a point that I know is 100% correct because you are too lazy to do what I tell you. My 10+ years of formal art training, classes, and education couldn't possibly have been a waste.

They are the same color. Here's a color swatch from block b, enlarged to cover many squares and overlaid over the origional pic. The shadow of the green cylindar is the trick here.

You lose.

They are the same color, you're just trying to get a rise out of those who now you're wrong. Nice try.
