Who's good with car electrical/wiring and wants to get paid in beer?

OK. So I have my 1994 Toyota Landcruiser that I'm going to be outfitting for camping. My battery is nearing the end of it's lifecycle and I would like to upgrade.

I am looking at installing a dual battery setup with some sort of isolator that will allow me to run accessories (winch/fridge) off of one battery and keep the other one as the starting battery. I know there will be people who say "it's easy, just do this" and give me some sort of MS Paint schematic with +/- this and isolator that and 200amp fuses here and there... but fuck, that stuff makes my brain hurt.

Looking to put together the full kit this month and install it pretty soon. If anybody who gets this stuff wants to help, we have a great little brewery right here in Milan and I'll gladly pay you in growlers of IPA/stout/etc. Or, anybody who just wants to make a few bucks, PM me and we can work something out.

We run jump switches in our bass boats. If you run the crank battery dead you flip the switch and it uses the trolling motor batts to start . You could use one and have it flippes so it charges both but turn it off when you run your accessorys

I might have a dual battery set up from a 7.3 super duty, the harness that goes between the two batteries, if your interested let me know and i'll dig through teh garage and find if i still have it.

Need to know how man amps the stuff you plan to run will consume so you can size the isolator...

That is similar to what I am going for... I I have to acquire a few more things first

Those are short term not meant to be used as a constant relay.

Diesel glow plug relays can be used, they're constant duty rated for 80-120 amps on most of them.
