I've been having a few years like that too, so you're not alone; and since I don't have any friends for the most part except for the peeps on here, I do the same. It may be no real relief, but sometimes I tend to look at the "well it could be worse" side of things.
Example- A few weeks back my 12 year old (who I've been funnelling THOUSANDS towards a good psychiatrist for her severe depression) decided to try to hang herself at school. Didn't work, and she told us she did it, and we sent her to a hospital for mental cases. Turns out, she has a massive chemical imbalance in her brain (makes less than 10% of the chemicals that make us stable and happy.) They took her off those meds she was on, put her on the proper ones, and she's like a new kid only 3 weeks out. So in this case you can see how it "could have been worse." There's no worse case than your grandpa, but your sister could have had it worse and she's still alive, so maybe try to look on that side.
IF that doesn't work, drink a 12 pack and smoke a HUGE bowl and you'll feel right as rain. Doctors orders.
-Good luck bro, feel free to vent.
-Brian.
As you know I work pretty close to you, if you need help with anything while she's down/out shoot me a pm.
Steve, I'll keep you and your wife in my thoughts and prayers. I know exactly how your feeling.....you know my situation, and as much as it could be much worse, I still can relate to that helpless feeling. That no matter how hard you work or how good you try and be to others and yourself, life still hits hard. You and your family will make it through, and be stronger for it! Give me a call or email if you need anything. I took on a second job, but if you need any help with any properties or manual labor I'll be there if I'm not working.
dude I feel your pain... but....
in the last 3 years I lost my father suddenly , and 3 months later my father in law to cancer 12 weeks after he was diagnosed ,
lost my job!
went 18 months un employed took a job paying half of what I was making
had to pull my son out of college because his student loans would not go through because of my being un employed
and last week I had surgery on my vocal chords to remove a (thank god!) benign tumor
I am not allowed to talk for 2 weeks which means I cant work ( I have no sick days with this job)
I wont even get into how up side down I am on my mortgage
so.... when you think you have it bad.... be like the rest of us !
put on your big boy underpants "man up" and deal with it!!
P.S. glad to hear your wife will recover
Steve, I will keep you and the wife in my prayers! It really seems like life is piling on right now. You hang in there!
Thanks for the good words! I'm sorry your doubt with what you did,as well as your loss. When I know my wife will be ok, thatwill be the day things are better. Until then, my big boy pants will be in the closet! Lmao
