Crazzyal and I were exchanging a round of Facebook posts and I came up with an idea for a motown road trip down here in North Carolina.
every year in the middle of october is probably the best small town car show you will ever see. Its called the "east cost drag timing association car show."
The venue is about an hour noth of Mizzi and I. In the little town of Henderson, North Carolina.
as far as my statement above. If you love nostagic drag racing then this is for you.......... the line the mainstreet of Henderson, NC with slingshot dragsters 60's-70's funny cars as well as famous grudge match cars and A/FX and prostock. then they fire them up in intervils right on mainstreet
I can gar-on-tee you you have never heard anything like a 392 hemi on "pop" shaking the widows of the local bank I will post pictures and a flyer as soon as I get a chance.
again! I cant stress how cool this event is. nothing like walking down the street and meeting the ramchargers, rubbing elbows with Hayden Profitt and listening to Ed Iskideran tell a few tales as he is walking thru the displays. hell even "big Daddy" has been known to show up every now and then
so, With that said, I'd love to hang with some of my old motown buddys down here at the event.
