That is gonna be my house, where the Viper is sitting, it will rotate and lift into my living room. When people ask why I did it.... I will tell them "because I can!"

That's no garage! that's a room for cars...a garage has tools, oil all over the ground...new parts, and broken old shit shoved in the corner and so on...that's like a dealership showroom!!...bad ass for sure though:bling:

Here's my old place. No hoists or anything nice
Fuel oil furnace and air conditioned.
behind the Ta was a 1 car room. Behind the camaro is a room with a fridge, tools, cabinets and other storage. It also had floor drains. I have no idea where they went cause it was city water/sewage. The floor also did not have the stress relief grooves cut into it making it easy to roll stuff around. A 10x12 barn behind the garage held the non-car related stuff

I'm planning on building a shop in the spring and was wondering who out there has pics of some really nice garage layouts. Now that I have kids and a fiance', I can't be an anal neat freak about my house anymore, so my shop is gonna be MY space.
For mine, I'm lookin at 26' deep, 36' wide, 3 doors, all coated (or tiled) floors and drywalled. (Everyone always says go bigger but I'm limited by the dimensions of my back yard). One bay will have a 2 post lift, tool boxes, sofa, fridge, tv..., another will be storage but double as a paint booth, and the last will be a narrow storage area for bikes, lawn tractors, christmas/halloween stuff..... I figure I can put the furnace and air compressor in the small storage area so it's outa sight, outa mind. What else should I plan on adding?
Sounds like you have most of it covered. As long as it is deep enough to allow for a car to park and space benind for tool boxes, compressor, etc you should be all set. If you can go tall enough, plan for storage in the rafters. That is always nice space to utilize if planned for in advance.

I am slowly working my way around my garage with the drywall. I hope to have it as clean looking as some of the garage pics posted on here.

I believe that garage is in or around Ann Arbor, A buddy of mine worked in that house and told me about it, it's some bigwig from Chrysler.

My garage isn't the greatest/largest one out there but I built it to be functional. Heat, water, air system, electrical. All insulated and drywalled, workbenches etc. I can't wait until I can build a real garage with a lift etc.

Good call, as you can see i wrote I believe it was in Ann Arbor, just going off what a friend told me. I didn't scan the pics to notice what plates were on the car i'm not that worried about it.
