You are bidding on the one of the cleanest and the fastest 1998 twin turbo, six speed C5 convertibles in the world. the color is light pewter.
This very low mile super car was only driven when the weather was nice enough to have the top down. There is so many things to list on this car, that I’m sure I will be adding information as the auction goes on.
Here is what was part of this huge build. It has Twin TE-44’s turbos, plumbing was Fabricated by Pro Turbo Kits.
The Ls1 was removed and a brand new complete forged LS2 (New style corvette C-6 engine) 402 Ci stroker race motor was installed, that was built by Scoggin Dickey performance located in Texas. This motor was built to withstand over 1500 horse power.
It has a 4" Callie's forged steel crank, Diamond dished pistons, Manley billet rods, APR fasteners, LQ4 heads, Dual PRC springs, 232/228-115 turbo Cam-motion Cam.
Aussie clutch, DTE brace, (ties the differential to the trans for extra strength) line lock, B&M Ripper shifter, brand new 2004 ZO6 3:42 hardened Differential, and torque tube
which was installed for extra strength.
Kenny Bell BAP, Bosh fuel pump, 60lb matched-flowed fuel injectors, Gutted Catt's.
Electric cutouts,(Really neat feature you can run the exhaust as open headers, or through the mufflers or anywhere in between from a switch in the cockpit).
Exhaust is tuned through Borla Stinger's.
Brand new coated, drilled, and slotted rotors with ceramic brakes (less than 100 miles).
Back bone brace (to stiffen the frame), Digital blitz's boost controller (control the pounds of boost from the cockpit).
Two Auto Meter gauges on the pillar (boost, and fuel pressure) with predator LED shift light. Optima Red Top battery.
I fabricated one of a kind custom coil mounts to relocate the coils so I could still use the the stock fuel rail covers (fuel rail covers are the plastic valve cover that say corvette in red)
This car was built for speed and is way to much for me at 44 years old.
We ran it on a dyno with a very conservative tune it had the smaller LPE fuel pump on it so we did want to go over 700 RWHP we achieved 690 RWHP. Now it has a larger Bosh fuel pump and is ready to be Dynoed in the 800-1000 RWHP range.
This car is a rocket and not for the faint hearted driver. It literary spins the tire at 70 MPH. This beast does have factory installed Active handling, and competitive driving option button so you can control the handling with the press of the button. All this and still has ice cold AC and gets 15/20 MPG when driving off the boost.
This is a total sleeper with the stock hood.
While I was driving on the interstate I had a 06 Ferrari 430 ($200K car) challenge me to a race after 2 runs from 70-150+ MPH he gave up.
This Twin Turbo kit was number three of only a few built. This was never on the track since completion.
There is another car with the same turbo kit set up that ran in the high 9’s and it had the smaller LS1 350Ci (Good job Nick).
The tires are new with less then 1200 miles on them. I'm also including two 17" nitto tires mounted on OEM painted corvette 5 spoke wheels. I bought them used but never used them and would say that they are in like new condition.
I'm also including the cover that is custom fit for this car. I always kept the car in the garage and covered.
The airbag light is on and needs to be cleared with a scan tool.
I’m selling this car to invest in a business opportunity. I will not be low balled so please serious inquiries only. If I don't get what I want I will keep it.
I don’t have to sell it, I want to sell it.
I have a very low reserve considering the amount of money invested in this car (over $83,000).
I will assist in the transportation of this vehicle in any way I can. I live in the suburbs of Detroit Michigan and 10 miles from Detroit Metro airport.
I did not plan on selling this car when I stored it for the winter so I'm posting the picture's I took the day I put it away. I plan on pulling it out of storage and taking more picture before the auction ends.
