Whipple vs. Kenne Bell

Is there any difference? All I can find is some people prefer the KB sound, there both basically the same TS blower right?

What would make you buy one or the other? Would I be better off with a ported blower/N2O?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new blower so please give me your opinions :thumbsup:
 
From what I have gathered KB customer support blows, so if somthing happens It will be a pain in the ass to get it resolved. Whipples are great blowers the 2.3 makes good power and is very reliable. Also you can get a 2.3 whipple shipped to your house for 3,1XX which isnt a bad price for a new blower. ported with N2o is a TQ monster and people make really good numbers with that setup. It all comes down to want you want really. You wont be dissapointed with any of them.
 
That KB is one hell of a deal......

No time wasted here :), gonna swap the SRA out of the wifes 01 GT in the next week or so, if I don't sell my 96 I plan on swapping the viper spec out of it...so I have a lot of work cut out for me :sagrin:

Hopefully you plan to upgrade the 28 spline garbage, I would imagine those parts will not last long behind a heavier car that is making good power.

I am thinking of getting a KB 2.1 kit for my car. I am going to have to keep up on this thread.

Smooth, why did you have a vortech on the 96 and not a KB?

Yeah it was on the car, if I was going to do it again a KB would be the way to go for a street car

It is an upgrade for her car....as long as its not a drag car :thumbsup:


I would go with the Whipple....I have also heard of BAD things from KB custmer service.....I know for a fact that whipple/ford racing backs there product well......I would not even concider anything but whipple!!!
 
I say KB but I am partial since thats what I have. I have never had problems with their customer service and I have delt with them twice. Also no problems with the blower or any of the other components. The whipple is probably just as nice though.
 
In my experience, KB's customer service has been great. TJ in particular was very helpful. I don't have any first hand experience with a Whipple or with their customer service so I don't have any input there. My little 2.2 does pretty well all things considered.
