Where to hang out?

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be some top secret thing......but where does everyone hang out with their cars? I don't get out much, and don't really know where to go. Twenty years ago Telegraph was the spot. Ten years ago I went out to Gratiot a few times. I went out two weekends ago to Woodward and ended up parking with the ricers at the "Pot Belly". There wasn't much going on.

It looks like I will be going out tonight with a few other cars. Any secret handshake places to look in on?

Thanks

PM'd, because SUPER SECRET INFO!

Not really, it's just that the combination of stupid kids and over protective government has killed off a lot of gathering spots this year...

87 views and this is it? Is it that bad out there. Aside from going to the strip does anyone drive their cars? What is this country coming too? I blame Obummer!

I'm depressed:(

I'm a hopeless optimist when it comes to cruising, but this year was tough at times..

TOTAL BUST!

Got to Pot Bellies (Woodward). Spent a half hour there then the coppers ran us off. Went up the street and hung out at the camera shop. Nothing else happened. Seems everyone went home.

Decided to check out Telegraph. Got on at 696 and headed South......to Taylor. NOTHING.

The world must be ending. No CRUISING! NEAR DETROIT!!!! And it was perfect supercharger weather!!!!

My blue car is now officially useless. Looks like its time to build an American Iron race car. At least I will use that.

Milan dragway...was there tonight...goodtimes

I live about 5-8min from Milan. I don't even have to go through a stop light to get there. But nothing I have is good for drag racing. My stuff is set up for standing mile or roadrace stuff. Looks like its time to build a drag car.

This has been the ony year in a long time, where all the areas were quite. I really don't get it, people spend thousands on these cars and don't drive them. I've actually met a few guys this year that have 50k cars with another 50k in mods and they said... I maybe drove it 4 times this year... Strange to me, but to each their own I guess.. Cops have sure screwed up the once great gatherings there used to be.

How does one head south on 696?

I will be out first thing on the spring cruising and hanging out. I think its hard for people to hang out with out the "other" crowd coming and screwing it allup.

The "other" crowd is what did it for me. Those morons on crotch rockets doing stunts in the parking lots and lane splitting on the main roads, the import crowd spinning their engines to 9,000 rpm in neutral while parked with us, playing music so that it can be heard for a mile, and all the young kids stunt driving there cars in the parking lots. I sometimes wounder if these ass clowns have a clue that they help destroy what we had for many years without trouble from the police.

I agree. I think it will be better next year. I hope to have a place on Telegraph that will be cool with parking and hanging around with out the asshats showing up.
