Where to get rid of Antifreeze?

Anyone know somewhere on the westside to get rid of used antifreeze?

DPW. I know Livonia has a few. I would assume so would Westland.

Know where any of them are in Livonia? Do they take it all year round or is it once or twice a year like with paint?

There is one off of Farmington Rd. North of Plymouth Rd. It's on the East side of Farmington. If you are coming from Plymouth Rd it's just past the train overpass.

I wish I knew
I have a bunch.
I found out that the local dump had a hazardous waste day today but i was to late

I know it's kind of an asshole move, but you could just set it in front of the gate.

the dump doesn't take it. They have big tanks setup on these days and batteries, oil coolant and other stuff gets taken away

I think pretty much any auto parts store will take antifreeze. I know I've taken some to either Murray's or Advance Auto.

I asked at Murray's, they don't take it at the 6 mile/newburgh location. Dunno about the Plymouth rd. location. I'll look into the DPW. Thanks guys :)

Heading north on Farmington from Plymouth Road, turn right on the first street after the railroad bridge. Go down about a half a mile and on the right you will see a recycling center, and a covered area with large tanks. They take coolant and used oil, and have no limit on what you can dump there. You can also recycle large quanities of magazines, paper, cardboard, etc.

Want to hear some bullshit? Last shop I worked at the owner would spray it down the storm drains... He swears you can dump up to 10,000 gallons of Anti-Freeze a year... I personally think thats bullshit myself.....
