Where to get home subwoofer repaired?

Audio gurus - I have a HSU Research sub that's about 10 years old that decided to flake out on me. I suspect it's an internal electrical issue of some sort (somewhere in the crossover or amp). The sub itself appears 'ok' mechanically. I plan on calling HSU Research to see who the recommend for service or if they have any suggestions for service locally (if they even have a clue), but figured I'd ask here first.

Thanks in advance.

Pull the amp off the cabinet and see if there's a blown fuse. Some sub amps have the fuse mounted internally.

I have used that electronics shop on Gratiot right at 696 for amp repair before. They seemed to have done a decent job. Can't remember their name, though.

I just bought the ULS-MK2 yesterday, HAH!

Any luck on the fuse?

Actually, the fuse was accessible externally (near the AC cord, part of the same housing). It was fine.

I then removed the whole amp/crossover assembly and hooked it up to another enclosure with an unpowered driver and the result was the same. Additionally, I hooked it up to my buddy's system at his house to ensure it wasn't my receiver and the result was again the same. We also used another power cord as well. My analysis is that there's something in the amp/crossover that must be bad. Two of us inspected everything on the circuit boards/power supply/soldered connections/joints and there's nothing that shows any excessive thermal failure or fatigue of any kind. Point is, it's beyond my capability to diagnose at this point.

Time to let the professionals earn their money.

I borrowed a buddy's Klipsch 10" sub just to make sure it wasn't my source and wow does my HSU make that thing sound like a piece of shit in comparison. His 12" Klipsch is close, but I believe the HSU 10" still outperforms it.

It's killing me not having this thing working!
