Where to get an AC line repaired on the east side.

These are off my wagon for the rear AC. The rubber part runs close to the exh manifold, so it got burnt. I'd rather just have the rubber part repaired than replacing the whole line, it's like 6 feet long.

You cant just repair high pressure lines. They are a manufactured hose. You will have to replace the whole hose. Cant re-use crimped fittings.

I heard they can cut the metal line past the crimp & reconnect a new rubber line to replace the part that was cut off. These lines are 7 feet long, mostly metal. I really don't want to replace the whole things. If I have to, I will though.

Haven't heard of that before but I suppose someone out there maybe able to do that. Check Rockauto.com you may be surprised and the replacements might be available. If you cant find them you may be able to cut the rubber portion out and replace it with a replacement high pressure hose with AN fittings and connect them back to the steel line with a AN to Flare Adapter.

I can't find the lines anywhere, new or used. They're for a 73 Chrysler station wagon, and the rot mine have is a common problem. I'm sure there's some NOS ones or old replacement aftermarket lines somewhere, but I can't find them.

I'd try Vintage Air. Let them know what you have and they should be able to make a replacement.

I see nothing on Inline Tube's website that shows they do A/C lines. I also doubt old A/C lines from a 4-door Imperial will work for the rear evaporator on a station wagon.

Got it handled. Turns out my buddy that's the mechanic who told me how they can be repaired can do it at his shop. I dropped them off this morning, I'll have them back tomorrow. Thanks for all the input everyone!!
