I've got a son and got married. But I didnt hand in my man card or testicles. Im still here :) but I agree most people grew out of the racing scene. I will say my priorities are a bit different and it takes me longer to get projects done but they get done :)

You have one kid and he's not mobile yet. Come back when there's more of them and they are all running around the house, neighborhood, or town. You'll slow down on your projects / car-fun even more soon enough. But hopefully they go away eventually and then we'll all have free time to ourselves again some day.

Yeah he takes time for sure. My 6 month upgrades turned in to 18 months and still not done. Peoples priorities do change with families but id say that its not everyones entire reason for fading away from here.

I dont do the weekend night meets anymore but that also has to do with working while they go on. I'd say for me work takes more time away from the enthusiast community and events moreso than my family. Probably also helps I have a wife who enjoys the car scene.

My wife knows as my son gets older I will be welcoming him in to it.

For some cars are a hobby and others they're a lifestyle. For my family its a lifestyle. The car community is a close knit one.

I'm far from one of the OG members but I used to live on this site, I still check it daily but don't spend nearly the time I used to. The biggest issue for me is money to steal for the car and time to steal away from the wife, kids, family, yard work, house projects etc. Unfortunately the car slips to the bottom of the list. I am considering building a driver/cruiser so the family can have fun with the hobby.
 
People are spread thin not only on life but also the online choices. Facebook and Instagram are huge (not for mr :)). Some of the other car forums are bigger like YellowBullet and TurboBullet but many of the car specific sites are smaller.

I like this place (MM). Good folks and the local connection. I love you guys! Lol

PerformanceredDale is living in columbus, OH. while he was attending ohio state, he had a Gun store and got married...... that consumed ALOT of his time. He just recently graduated, closed the store had a daughter. Last month was the biggest change for him.......they had twins.

Saving the best for last......... Obama was the guest of honor art his graduation. LOL!!!

BadDad has a daughter that is graduating high school next month. he bought my old corvette but has since lost interest in working on it. he may post up again when he is an empty nester....
 
CMYZ28 is now living in a gay nudest community I heard from the rumor mill. Nobody has seen him personally in months. To each their own...
