Where did they go?

Theres also sort of a family attitude around here of people wanting and willing to help each other out....even though sometimes its a bit of a dysfunctional family... :D
I know i dont post on here alot and normally just read the topics but after joining MM the family like atmosphere between the members shocked me(in a good way). Its something you dont see alot now-a-days.

I have noticed lower activity on a few boards I'm on. Is it the recession? Seems like the more active I get on a board the quieter it gets. Sometimes I think I'm the "thread killer".

Ok, now if this thread suddenly dies I will have a real complex.

Wait, I thought I was the threadkiller??

I started posting on here looking for parts for a project car. I already HAD a family, kids, career, etc. The project car is pretty much where I want it to be, but I have stuck around for the conversation. I lurk more than I post, but IF, repeat IF I feel I can make a meaningful contribution, I'll jump in. I've made a few friends, bought some stuff, sold some stuff, helped out here and there. Let's keep it things in perspective: IT'S A FORUM! Make of it what you will.

Otherwise, it's fun to watch!

2hipsi bought a new house on the east side and had a kid....he actually has like 3 or 4 now because his girl had some before. I don't think we'll see him at the track again

It was epic some of the back and forths you would have with him...LOL

The level of douchebaggery and stupidity the majority of the posters here have reached keep a LOT of people from posting like they used to. Also the reason why so many MM "regulars" don't attend events.
I've heard the same... few of the non-posting members told me about some "childness" incident that happend a couple WW cruise's ago, kept them from posting up here any more.

I kind of like all the different topics. Where else can you look at porn, get into pointless arguments about any topic, buy shit, and get help from others on car repair, advice? It's one stop shopping here at MM.

And you make a lot of friends you'll probably never meet in person. WIN!

You forget the medical & legal advice that is doled out here, some by actual experts in their field.

Yep. And that's what I meant-- Whatever problem you may have, MOST LIKELY someone on here is in that field, or a host of others have just dealt with the problem. Motown Muscle for me is a very valuable resource and just a good place to kick back and chit chat. Also, with few exceptions, the camaraderie is nice too.

Agreed 100%.

Plus you can find out all the latest news.

I need to start going to "club" events again . . . next year . . . especially now that I have a vehicle to actually take pride in.

I lurk from time to time, mostly in the for sale section. When I joined MM, I had one new born son and the 01 Z. My son turns 13 this month and I have 2 young daughters. The Z is long gone, sold in 2006. The only reason I even continue visiting is because of the friends that I made over the years through the club. I don't recognize many of the screen names anymore, but the site still offers a community about a hobby I'm still interested in.

Free post bitches!!! But really, I've met a lot of good people through this site, and a few of them are actually good friends of mine now.

Where'd these guys go?
