Where can I donate old and used computer equipment?

I am cleaning out the garage and I have a ton of older used desktop computers along with an assortment of
printers and other related equipment I would like to donate. A buddy of mine, Bret used to work at a computer place that would buy all this old equipment but I have since lost his number. I am not even sure if he works forthe same company anymore. Can any of this stuff be scraped for cash? I don't think it can and besides if
someone else who is less fortunate can benefit from it then that would make me feel better. Let me know.

If it's more than a few years old, it's not worth keeping around. Best Buy does some sort of recycling thing and you get a gift card. The only real use for older computers is to send to a place like Africa where they don't have shit.
 
A few years ago, we dropped all of our old computers off at the scrapper. Got a few $ for them.
