When did you become a MM????

I was legally allowed to cross the border....I just wasn't legally allowed to drive for a short period of time....from 1997-2010.

Ahh, yes. I do recall that now. My nephew got caught in that same fun trap that is hard to get out of. Took him like 10 years as well.

I joined in 2003 because of a member that had a formula ws6 LT1 car that use to come into the auto parts store.... I think he passed away awhile ago I cant remember his name

My memory is a little fuzzy but I think I heard about the site via a track rental mention from Phil at then Detroit Speed Works. It was at one of those events I met little2v who has been a friend for ~18 years. He's one of several people I've met over the years via car related events/groups that I'm still close with. Same with Shauna, Rod, George, Alex, Ken, and many others. A majority of my inner-circle are people I've met via the car hobby - friendships I've enjoyed far more than any car I've owned.

Ahh, some of the great (and not so great) memories! I joined shortly after buying my Foxbody and was trying to learn from local fellas that had been in my shoes. I was around 18-19 at the time and the typical young punk. I have gone sort of underground and kept to myself for the last few years. Only lurked in the shadows occasionally here on the forum for a number of years. I've still got my Sonoma torn apart in the garage. I keep getting fired up to work on it, spend a couple days on it, then move on to other stuff. Since buying it I've had 2 kids that are 5 and 6 now. So they get more of my time than the projects. haha

Nothing wrong with that, Ryan!

I got involved in 2003 after buying my Mustang GT. I had 0 idea of anything in motorsports. I remember my first post was that I wanted the fastest stang in Detroit. Got ridiculed for saying that and still stuck around. My first event was a dyno day at speedworks where Coach was feeding people frozen burger patties. I won a free dyno pull on a raffle and my Stang put down like a whopping 205 HP to the wheel. I was so disappointed as again, I knew nothing. Ford advertised 289 or something like that HP, where did I lose 80ish HP. Since then, learned a lot, been through the flame wars including the pervage days. The post Whore wars. The Grudge vs Pub wars etc... Met lots of new friends many of which I still talk to often despite being 700 miles away. Many things people on here were incredibly wrong toward me about (Saying I wouldn't make it a year after marrying my wife after knowing her for 3 months for instance. We've been married 12 years now and are great), but also enjoyed some of the ribbing (Eric putting his food on my R Wing on my Stock GT for instance)
