When did the government f*+k up gas cans?

Thanks to our gov't, evidently all gas cans have nozzles that have to be twisted to get the gas to flow out of the can. So basically you need to use two hands when operating the gas can. When did this BS begin and where can I buy a normal gas can and spout!?!?!?!

I take the spout off of those damn cans and use a funnel.

I HATE new gas cans. I have 4 of them. 2 of the "safety" spouts on them have broke, and the other 2 leak fuel everywhere anytime you try to pour. And why did they eliminate the vents???

Good article. One line that really stood out was this; "Consumers have accused the company of making faulty cans that explode when used to pour gasoline onto fires." Gives you an idea of what we're up against.

i buy all i can find, I have standing orders for 5 gallon cans, They are sold right away old 5 gallon with vent are 25.00 each easy

EPA, adding a vent is easy , get a valve stem and install it, just remove the core they make perfect vents
