What's up with gas prices?

Seems like they've gone up $.50-.60/gal+ in just the last couple weeks. Did something happen that I missed??

I paid $2.45 at Sam's today @ US23 & Carpenter Road, Ypsilanti.

It was $2.72 everywhere else.

LOL yes! But unfortunately true :(

Nah, it's because Memorial Day kicks in the summer travel season. Happens every year then all the talking heads on the news say "oh oh refinery malfunctioning! Iran got da muthafuckin' bomb yo!" I understand that the summer blend of gas costs more than the winter blend due to the additives used, but all the rest is fluff. They say the same shit every single Memorial Day and Labor Day. I'd feel better if they said "The oil industry wants to cash in on the summer travel season, so they are going to raise prices to make a few more dollars."

It is totally BS. I don't care though, I still drive my Imperial and my station wagon daily. Both of them 440 4 barrels baby!!! And probably over 10,000 lbs combined weight hahaha.

I haven't paid much attention lately until yesterday filling my truck up I noticed it took 62 dollars to fill it. A few months ago I could fill it for 35.

That's when I noticed too. I never pay super close attention because I will need gas no matter what. I've accepted we all end up screwed. It just hurts a little bit more.

Businesses trying to make money - hard to blame them.
Hoping diesel doesn't get crazy again. Paying $4+/gallon with a 36 gallon tank really blows.
