So a guy has a part i need on yellowbullet, send him a e-mail making a offer does not respond until a day and a half later. He gives me a price. I respond saying I agreed with price and shipping and to give me his paypal info. It has been 2 days still no response at the same time a guy has something on e-bay I want, has it listed as a auction, sent him a e-mail saying what would you take for it as a buy it now price, been 3 days no response. How do you want to sell stuff and you dont respond to questions timely. When I was selling stuff I tried to answer question within a couple of hours.

About a month ago I was buying some parts from a guy and it took over a week to close the deal because it would take him 2 or 3 days to respond to e-mails. Everything could have been taken care in less then a day.

I always try to get phone numbers, a text or call can usually get everything done asap.

Some chick had a set of wheels in Florida i wanted. We settled on 500 shipped, i paid then they said someone offered 700, so I said i'd go 700. Paypal'd them all the money and they never ended up selling them to me. 2 weeks later she refunded my money and said they sold them locally. UGH

If the seller is not relying on the income (business) or a frequent seller, I can see the delays happening.
Factor in the following: Past experiences, low-ballers, freaks/crazies aka craigslist folks, spammers, scammers, tire kickers and whatever else ~ I can definitely reason to an extent.

Seller happens to be a "Power Seller", habitually seller, known background is retail, wheels & deals on craigslist a lot? Then there are no excuses.

I've been trying to chase down a guy here on this board for over 6 weeks for a pair of seats. Calls, texts PM's and this after we agreed on a price.

I just think if you list a item for sale you should at least check your e-mail once a day and once you have agreed to price with someone check e-mail a couple times a day until deal is closed.

I can top that. LOL

Thought I had my Cobra sold a few weeks ago. Met with the guy so he could check out the car. It went well and he said he would purchase the car a few days later so we set up a date/time to meet at his bank to complete the deal.

Fast forward to the day of the deal. I called him before lunch to confirm it was still a go and he told me yes.

So later that day I show up at his bank at the pre-arranged time to complete the transaction. I wait a little bit, he's still not there. I wait a little longer and send a text. No response. Tried calling dude back. No answer, left him a voicemail. He doesn't text back or call back.

He winds up being a complete no call/no show; bank is closing it's doors and I'm thinking "what a clusterfuck." At least have the common courtesy to let the other party know that the deal isn't gonna happen.

FWIW - He's not on this message board AFAIK (will definitely call him out if I ever see his name float around on the classified section to warn other sellers).

I won't even bother selling on Craigslist. A lot of people want you to meet them halfway because it's too far to drive an hour. I don't understand that at all, I look for any excuse to drive my car. If there is slow communication before you even buy it I would not do the deal. Guess what will happen if you have a problem after the sale.

I never respond to people asking for BIN prices on ebay auctions,

I always have, I shoot them a price if the agree deal done, right or wrong I have pulled the item sold it to them outside of e-bay so I did not have to pay the auction fee. Even if the answer is NO you should atleast respond. Like someone said maybe they would still bid on the item but if you dont respond at all they may feel you are not going to be a good seller.
