I believe the car from Hardcastle & McCormaic was a Coyote branded kit car, I LOVED that show when I was a kid.

when I was a teenager there were a lot of kit cars around ... Bradley GT, Kelmark , along with Porsche Speedsters & MG B replicas
plus VW's were still everywhere
along with several Dune Buggy Kits ...
