I want to buy a Chrysler/Jeep ODB scan tool. One that can modify the ecu. Kinda like the key programmer I bought but more options. I am sure some clone in china will work but I am not sure what it is called so I can search for it. I know GM used a tech2 and ford have IDS but what to the Chrysler dealers use?

HP Tuners, maybe diablo? Be aware some software providers may have poor customer service communication and the user friendly aspect is not very intuitive. No one that i know of provides aftermarket software for the BCM, abs, and srs modules.

Well I wanted to turn on certain thing on the can bus like heated seats and such. Maybe easier to take it to the dealer.

What is it? Newer stuff follows standards like J2534. Old crap from Chrysler is old crap.

Tech2 is obsolete, you need a MDI and a subscription.

For a generic, Snap-on/Sun seems to be the best. I once sat next to a guy for 5 hours on an airplane that worked on product development for it and he said that Chrysler was the worst one to work with.
