I'm going to take my CCW class Sunday at Firearm Exchange off of Ford Rd. Probably going to order it then.
I've read alot about them but never shot one. Thanks for the input.

I'd go rent one and shoot it before you put money on one. Kimbers are nice but they're pretty pricey so if you get it and don't end up liking it you're kind've screwed.

They are a nice piece, but i definately prefer the Springfield Ultra Compact .45
I checked that one out too, but I like the laser in the grips.

Firearm Exchange is going to rent me one during testing, good idea though, that would suck paying that much money for something and not liking it.

x2. Always shoot before you buy. If Firearms Exchange doesn't have one to rent, try Firing Line or Top Gun. They're both close by.

Edit: I typed this at the same time that you typed your response.

I shot I think 6 different handguns before I decided on one. As much as a lot of people like the Glocks I couldnt' stand them. I really liked the Sig P226 but ended up getting a Springfield XD

tried a springfield xd and actually didnt like it (only because of accuracy, it was a very sturdy well built piece), even the rangemaster couldnt get the damn thing sighted in

it could have been that specific one, but there wasnt a second one to try out, so the ultra compact was the choice for me, it would have been a hard decision for me if the xd shot as true as the ultra compact did

Thanks again for the input guys.
I think I will go to the FiringLine the next couple of days and check out some others.
