What did everyone get for Christmas?

A Trek bike, a golf bag/clubs/golf balls/golf skirt/head cover/golf shoes/5 golf lessons, workout outfit, nest thermostat, some home decor stuff for our new house, scarf, socks, candles, restaurant gift cards, bottle of wine, personalized wine barrel top lazy susan, garden decoration thing, decorative glass jar with my dried wedding flowers inside.

Husband got a indoor bike trainer, power tools, airplane desk clock (he flies for a hobby), deWalt tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc) set from Costco, socks, ties, Purdue/MSU flag, 2 detroit themed tshirts, lions hat, Yeti cooler.. I think that's it

Oh, and my dad got my kids, who are 4 and 6... a quadcopter drone with an HD Camera that says it's for ages 12+.... LOL. He got the same thing for my brother's kids and said my brother took it outside and got it stuck 25' up in a pine tree in 11 seconds.

My neighbor stuck his copter high in my tree first flight. Wind brought it down a week later. :) Finders keeper!! jk....

What kind of smoker? I've got a charcoal one & like it, but it's an inexpensive one. I want to get a better one.

Same here, I have the ECB (el cheapo Brinkman) smoker. Look up the Ugly Drum Smoker, somebody with your fabrication skills can build one easily.

I borrowed this from my buddy, it's a Pit Barrel Cooker. I smoked a pork shoulder in it yesterday, it did a 6lb shoulder in 5 hours. The only thing I don't like about it is it's a PITA to add wood for that smokey flavor I love so much. That's why I bought an offset smoker, but it's a bitch to use in the cold. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy a nice one now that I know I'll use it. I wasn't sure if smoking food was something I wanted to get into.

Masterbuilt are nice smokers, my brother has one. For me it's gotta be charcoal or wood burning though.

My wife got this made for me, it is a warrior rack. I never knew about them until now, it has a lock box for my duty weapons, rack for my duty belt, spot to hang my vest and a mount under the lock box for my rechargeable light.

You have to layer your coal so it burns in stages. Put some coal at the bottom, another layer of coal and wood chunks, another layer of coal, another layer of coal and wood, etc. Start it off by dumping a dozen or dozen and a half lit coals and it'll take care of itself. A full coal basket should be good for a 12 to 15 hour smoke in that one. I love a thick smoky flavor myself.

Yeah, that's what I did, but I didn't put enough wood chunks in. When I use my smoker I toss a chunk or two on every half hour. The last shoulder I did in mine had a smoke ring almost an inch in. It was awesome.
