What can I legally do?

A former company is giving me a hard time releasing info to my 401K account manager. I quit there last year, the account manager says I need to have my former employer send them a "waive of recall" and my former employer won't return my calls.

My next message would be "I expect a returned phone call or the next message will be from my lawyer".

have an attorney write a letter to them - immediately. Might cost you a few bucks, but it's better than losing a few thousand in failed investments.

Talk to the company that she is rolling the money over to. TDAmeritrade for example. They'll help you with all the forms.
