What a dick...

OK, if you are gonna try to debate with a cop, dont put your hands in your pocket. Also, if a cop has a taser gun out, dont walk away like he isnt gonna shoot it. After he pulls the tazer gun, simply do as he says.
Yup, the guy could have easily had a gun. I know a few cops. If they let down their guard they may not come home

The guy didn't use much common sense, but the cop still crossed the line with his authority IMO. He was in no direct danger and should have explained how things work to the guy before he tazed him.

How can you be so sure he was in no danger. Some of the most innocent looking people can be killers. If i was a cop, I would taze every single person that tried to debate and while debating put there hands in their pockets.. end of story.

always expect the worst, tazor doesnt leave holes its just made to disable... as in disable the situation. I agree both sides were wrong though

What a joke... The kid was seriously TELLING the cop that they were going back to look for the speed limit sign:bowrofl: :bowrofl:

I think the kid deserved to get tazored just for being stupid enough to think that the cop was actually going to let him do that!

Though this kid seemed harmless, he would not do ANYTHING he was asked to do. Furthermore, he got out of his truck and had his hands in his pocket.

For all you supporters of this guy, how do you know that he didn't have a little snub-nosed .38 in that pocket? That's how cops get killed...

First off he wasn't doing what the officer was asking him to do, he was trying to debate everything with the officer (the side of the road is not the time for that, thats what court is for), he was also walking back towards his car with his hands in his pocket. The cop did what he was trained to do.

Agreed. You can't stand there with your hands in your pockets walking away from the officer no matter what a big dick he is being. The officer was pointing a weapon at him and he still acted like a moron.

While these tazers are being used too quickly these days, that driver should have done quite a few things differently that would have helped avoid the situation.
