Wet/Fogger kit on a 4.6 mod motor.

So I finally decided to get my wet kit out of the addic, that i baught a few years ago and start installing it for next year. so far I have ran the line from my trunk, through the uniframe, along the pinch welds with the fuel lines zip tied every 6 inches or so then up into the passenger front fender into the engine bay to the solenoids i mounted on the shock tower. I drilled a hole in my BBK CAI rubber connecting peice that connect at the trottle body and installed the nozzle about 1 inch from the throttle body, will it be okay mounted through the rubber?? Also, I need to know where i can order jets for the nitrous and fuel for me to run a 50 shot, 75, and 100? and also I am going to run a fuel pressure safety switch and rpm window switch to keep everything as safe as possible, is there any other precautions i need to take? Also i need to know where i can find a complete wiring diagram online to wire all the relays and switches up? I dont plan on getting too crazy, just running a 50 or 75, maybe 100 if i can afford the dyno tune. I will try to get pics up tomarow or somthin.

thank you,
Ryan

finally using the one you bought off John huh? I sold that to him, he was gonna throw it on his Ranger. :peelout:

you can safely run 125 after your tune. depending on what brand of nozzle you're running, you should be able to get jets from summit or jegs.

mounting on the silicone coupler should be ok as long as you used some sort of loctite.

i'd be sure to run a WOT switch as well... there's a place called jimmy jams that makes a pretty nice one that bolts right to the throttle body.

wiring should be pretty straightforward. have fun!

1 vote for cracking the plastic intake, who's with me? lol

i sprayed mine a bunch last summer with 125. shouldn't be a problem. though i can't be held responsible for installer error. :icon_mrgr

Ever flip a coin? lol

thanks guys, MX, where is this jimmy jams place and about how much do thse custom WOT switches cost? i have the universal one that came with the kit that i could probably bend to hell to make work? anyway About how much would a dyno tune cost me? and Yes, i know the plastic intakes can kaboom pretty easy, but i guess id have to get a metal intake regardless so why not try it out with the plastic?? anyway, how necessary is a bottle warmer? Im going to work on it for a little bit, i will take some pics and post later.

thanks,
ryan

jimmy jams is an online place. http://www.jimmy-jams.com switch is like $30 and well worth it.

dyno tunes run around $500-700 depending on where you go. you can also get a canned tune if you plan on doing major changes later.

i wouldn't worry about the plastic intake as long as you're being smart. they only have problems if you have a backfire. this is why i ran a manual pushbutton on my shift knob. that way i could stop the nitrous while still under throttle to keep puddling to a minimum and backfires nonexistent.

bottle warmers are a very, very good idea. if you're spraying in anything less than really warm weather, you're going to lose bottle pressure. low bottle pressure means running fat, which means less hp.

pics

heres a few pics of what i got done so far. i have almost everything done except for the wiring, im waiting on money to order a fuel pressure switch, and window switch. Anyway in the one pic is all i have as far as wires and relays go, shouldnt there be more?:dontknow:

thanks,
ryan

yeah, i ran it through a upr spacer. i like putting it there that way it's below all the runners... less puddling.

whats this thats not hidden people can see it, what kinda shot you spraying in that bitch. Should have seen my old setup I never sprayed you couldnt see one think casper302 seen the setup

It really shouldnt puddle up if your at WOT, when you let off it might a little bit from whats left flowing out the line unless you get a backfire id think your fine unless your running the plastic intake.

which the PI cars do (have a plastic intake). so any puddling can be bad news. i had a hidden setup for a while, but i'm not much of a street racer so i'd rather be safe than hidden. lol.
