Went to US131 t&t last night...

Motown's uber nerd and fav Sweeeeede!
I'm pretty happy with the improvement the converter made, even on stock wheels and street tires. Did a best of 13.23 @ 103.5 (1.97 60'), previous best on the same wheels and tires was 13.69 @ 102.

Next time I go I'll have the same setup, but with drag radials. I'm thinking very high 12s could happen. :icon_mrgr I had to launch kinda weak to keep from spinning. :peelout:

13.2 @ 103 is doing very well. I didn't dip into the 1.9X territory until I was nearly in the 10's. I don't see how you'd dip into the 12's (unless there is a large DA change) as it doesn't appear you have a traction issue.

I dunno.. I haven't gotten the launch down yet.. always end up with the best time when I just launch off idle. I'm hoping some stickier tires will let me bring up the rpms to stall and launch harder. I've seen people post better 60' than I have ever been able to do.. :dontknow:

Speaking of that, is there a good place to buy M&H tires in the area? They seem to have a couple of DR sizes that would fit my car perfectly.

Hey sorry I didn't get back to you about the BFG DR's. If you call Brian (he's TRBOBUICK on here) at my store he'll talk to you about it and give you a great deal. Call 248-299-5775 and tell him you're from Motown. He'll take care of you.

he'll also give you a bigger discount if you start the converastion with "turbo buicks rule, and turbo camaro's suck!" :icon_mrgr

How was the tech there lars?

Spray that thing already!:peelout:

The what? Oh, you mean the guy who took my card and wrote some numbers on my car without even asking a single question? Not sure you'd have the same experience with your trailered race car. :icon_mrgr

your car "looks" stock...try with a set a welds and slicks....

THEY made me take a lug nut off one of my front runners to prove I had three inch studs...
they were tough with me..they even check my helmet to make sure it had the right snell rating...

BUT good track

Hell - when I went to the track with welds/skinnies they just waved me through tech....

Yessir, this was at stanton... Then again, next time I go who knows -- it sounds different, lacks an interior in some parts, has the loud ass Holley fuel pump, and a couple other things....

If they hassle me I'm just going to pop the hood and tell them to look at the STOCK heads, STOCK valvecovers, and ask if a stock longblock is worth the hassle...
